5 Months

It's time for another monthly post of our growing girl! To begin, here are her monthly bath photos. And by monthly bath photos I don't mean monthly-bath photos, rather, monthly bath-photos. As in she takes more than one bath a month.

This past month she started rolling from back to stomach and sometimes gets her arm stuck which can be frustrating to her. But in the past few days I noticed she was rolling from stomach to back, so hopefully she'll become more and more content to play on the floor. This past month it seems as though she's become more discontent with just hanging out and while I'm trying to enjoy each moment, I'll admit that I'm looking forward to the day when she can sit on her own and play with toys on the floor. Right now her curiosity and need for stimulation seems suppressed by her stage of physical development and lack of coordination. That combined with the fact that it's still been winter this past month has meant lots of days inside trying to keep her entertained. Now that the weather is warming up we've been going for walks and that seems to add enough variety to keep us all sane.

In month four Lizah also visited another state meaning she's been in six states so far! We added Wisconsin to the list of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas. Seth and his cousin Abe went to an organic conference in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, so Kara and I tagged along with our littles. It was lots of time in the car and hotel rooms but we managed a trip to a Children's museum, Great Harvest, the nearby mall, and some other places to pass the time and overall it was a great time! Lizah is such a trooper when it comes to sleeping on the floor...we'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Soooooo tired at Aunt Addie's band concert

Napping in her cousin's cheerful yellow
room. Isn't that bedspread so fun?!
I think she spied me!
Hopefully she will have her dad's Excel skills,
not mine.
Don't worry, we think you're cute!
Life lessons from the jungle gym:
sometimes you have to let go of one thing to get what you really want.
Yes, so loved.
