The Honeymoon
Whenever people asked where Seth and I were going on our honeymoon I suddenly felt this need to explain why we were going to southern Ohio. And in my explanation I don’t mean to slam others who do something different. Through conversations with other people and some of our own preferences we realized that escaping to a cabin in Hocking Hills was a great way to unwind from months of planning and school and such.
I’ve been to places with views more jaw-dropping than what we ran across in Ohio, but Seth and I were both amazed at the beauty tucked away in a small state park.
We consumed a fair amount of sugar via large volumes of ice cream, fudge, and peanut butter.

We used Old Man’s Cave Chalet’s for lodging and stayed in Pinecone cabin. The inside layout was perfect not to mention a large deck and very clean hot tub.
Friday happened to be my birthday and Seth surprised me with a beautiful picnic basket filled with some snacks. On our way out of Hocking Hills we stopped for ice cream at Ralph’s and then drove for a while before we got to a random park where we got lost on a trail that took us to a beautiful meadow. We plopped down and had a picnic. It was wonderful.
To top it off, Seth took me to The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner that evening.

A little different than our first supper at home…

Don’t worry. We now have our adult silverware and I feed him more than two pieces of leftover freezer pizza.
