The Waibels {Est. 5.21.17}

Writing this post seems overwhelming. How do I sum up a weekend as emotional, eventful, significant, and life changing as my wedding weekend? How do I express the seriousness of the commitment without taking away from the joy of the celebration? Honestly, I didn’t let myself go there too much. Knowing my tendency to overthink big and small decisions or circumstances, I subconsciously decided to lighten up a little and not worry about the future. I’ll credit that to the many prayers we felt on our behalf.
I’ll share the pictures first that way those of you only interested in the pictures don’t have to scroll all the way to the bottom. Wedding pictures: Leandra Bahler. Reception pictures: Lauren Schwab. And my random pics in the mix ðŸ™‚IMG_7297

The weekend went by in a blur. A wonderful friend-filled, family-filled, Spirit-filled blur. And as I said before, there was too much to capture. I could write about how incredible it was to have people from near and far come to support and celebrate with us. I could write about the hours our families and friends poured into making this weekend work. I could write about how sweet it was to share a dinner with those especially dear to us and take a few moments to reflect on our relationships. I could write about my Sunday morning ride with Dad or how special it was to have our fathers conduct our wedding service. There are sooooo many things I could write about, but words don’t do justice to a wedding weekend. Being united with the man God has used to teach me so much about grace and unconditional love was an incredible thing. It continues to be incredible.
We’re so blessed to have this glimpse into God’s love for us and the marriage someday that will take place in heaven. My prayer is that God used our wedding day to be another earthly reminder of what awaits the believer. But greater than the day, it’s our desire that God can use our earthly marriage to be a reflection of the love that goes beyond a wedding day. It’s a lasting love that sees the ugliest, darkest places in our hearts and still doesn’t turn away. Seth has allowed God’s love to flow through himself to me in so many ways and I’m so glad to be his wife.
